Counting honestly

What counts as a Gospel Encounter

A compelling, visual, biblically accurate portrayal of Jesus, in a language the audience most understands, presented in a way that clearly offers the opportunity to know and follow him — through partnership with churches, ministries and individuals.

All six elements, every time

If any one of these is missing, it isn't a Gospel Encounter — it's a view. We keep those two numbers apart.

The body of Christ takes part

A named church, ministry or believer is part of the pathway and reachable at the end of it.

Their heart language

The message is offered in the language the audience most understands — and we never claim a language we cannot show.

Visual media is central

The telling of Jesus is visual, not a page of text with a picture on it.

A biblically accurate Jesus

His words, actions, character and invitation are faithful to Scripture.

The whole Gospel, with an invitation

The message goes far enough to give a genuine opportunity to respond — not just an interesting story.

A real next step

There is a way to keep going that leads to real, identifiable people who care.

How we count

An encounter is counted once someone reaches the invitation with a genuine next step available. We do not require a response — a person may quietly decide and tell nobody, and that still happened.

We report three things separately, and never blur them: confirmed, where the pathway and the partner are verified; estimated, where the pathway is credible but parts are inferred; and views or reach, which is simply how many people saw something.

Responses, referrals and real conversations are counted after the encounter, not instead of it. The most valuable number on any dashboard here is how many people actually spoke with a believer.

What we never do

We never store a name, an address or a message in our reporting. Steps are linked by an anonymous marker that lives in the visitor's own browser and expires; nothing personal ever reaches the numbers.

Nobody's question or prayer request appears in any report, chart or export — only the people who agreed to follow up ever read it.

We do not count a language as reached because a page could be translated, and we do not count a partnership that isn't active. Overstating this work does nobody any good.
